Day 61: Peawah River to Port Samson

Another cool night - got down to 7 degrees and a maximum expected today of 23 - not that different to Gatton!

We only had a 90 minute drive this morning to arrive at the new Cove caravan Park at Port Samson - right on the water. After setting up and doing two loads of washing (sheets, clothes, etc. - these chores continue even on holidays!) we had a drive around Port Samson - Honeymoon Bay and a lookout over Cape Lambert where they load iron ore from around the area. We then drove 7km to Wickham, an iron ore mining area, where we did our grocery shopping at Woolworths.

Tonight we went out to the local tavern and had dinner. I am now back at the van waiting for the STATE OR ORIGIN to begin - it is being shown at 8:30pm over here which is 10:30pm in Queensland.

OK, got to go and limber up for the game..........................
