Day 79: Kalbarri

We had a good day today exploring the gorges of the Kalbarri National Park. They are a 35km drive from Kalbarri on a mixture of bitumen and excellent dirt (sand roads).

By the end of lunch we had seen as much as we wanted to see - the gorges were terrific.

We then drove back into Kalbarri and continued south and then inland to the Hutt River Province (66km). This 'province' is owned by Prince Leonard of Hutt who personally gave us a tour of the property. The younger amongst you may never have heard of Prince Leonard but when we were younger, he was well known across Australia (especially if you read the Post of Pix magazines).
