Day 119: Wilpena Pound to Adelaide

The drive today was through country similar to the Darling Downs but much greener. There were numerous old brick ruins along the way showing where old farmhouses once lay. They are still standing in some shape or form because the buildings in SA were built from bricks or stone, whereas in Qld the buildings were wood and evetually many of Qld's old homesteads burnt!
Our drive today was approx 450km. We left at 8am and arrived at the van park (Levi Caravan park) at about 2pm. The park is very well setup and is only about 5km north of the city centre. There is actually a bitumen walking trail into the city which follows the banks of the River Torrens. (Adjacent to our caravan park).

Today we also passed another milestone - ('kilometrestone') because we have driven over 20,000km so far on our Oztrip - I expect we will probably do another 4000 before we get home.

Tomorrow we will catch the bus into the city.
