Day 127: Renmark

We slept in again until 9am!!! After breakfast, we drove across the river to Renmark's sister town (more like a village) of Paringa where we visited one of the Murray River locks and also a park near the river where we took a few photos of a stream and weeping willows.

We then went on a drive to the north of the town, 15km and visited Headings Lookout which gave fantastic views of the Murray and cliffs dug out by the Murray over thousands of years. On the way home, we stopped at Paringa and took a photo of the "Black stump" which is owned by the "Chook Man" and is sitting at the front of his home.

This afternoon, we went on a two hour boat trip on the Murray with Devonshire Tea provided - cost $35.................. it was great. We had a live commentary for the whole cruise and the scenery was great.

It was then to our happy hour on the banks of the Murray where we decided that tomorrow we will go to Tailem Bend, south of Adelaide near the Coorong (where the Murray enters the sea).

Tonight, we will go to see the Chook Man perform just outside our van in the river..............
