Day 124: Adelaide to Nuriootpa

[Firstly, let me say that I hope all of you WORKING at school had a good pupil-free day. It was really tough for us drinking wine in the Barossa valley today and thinking of you........]

We packed up this morning during a brief recess in the rain which seemed to be falling all night.  We left for the small town on Nuriootpa in the heart of the Barossa Valley at about 9am and had our vans set up there by 10:30am.

The maximum temperature today was 12 degrees and with 35k/hr winds and showers, it was quite a cool day but that did not deter us - we managed to visit half-a-dozen or more wineries including some of the bigger ones - Wolf Blass, Seppelts, Tanunda, etc. Tomorrow we will visit some more.

We also visited Maggie Beer's farm and watched a cooking demonstration in her kitchen area which she used for her TV series "The Cook and the Chef".  She was not there but one of her staff members did the demo. As you can see from the photo below, I gave some assistance and tips as required.
